DEPLOYMENT OF HOUSEHOLD HOSPITAL SYSTEM IN A HOSPITAL INSTITUTION OF VALE DO RIO PARDO/RS: an experience report

Abstract

The Home Care System is a new proposal of patient care in hospitals, which, by presenting some improvement in their initial health framework, may be allocated to hospital at home. This new modality of assistance, according to the Decree 2529 of 19 October 2006, the Ministry of Health, aims to develop self-care, creating a new focus on health, which currently focuses on hospital care, creating overcrowding in public institutions health, high rates of infection, resulting in prolonged hospitalization or discharge, in which the patient is not educated to continue the treatment at home, leading to possible hospitalizations and higher costs to the public coffers. The current need for new alternatives and work to improve patient care patient, recovering self-care at home, involving family members in the process of healing and wellness, becomes the objective of this study through the implementation and monitoring of the system hospitalization, next to a health institution in Vale do Rio Pardo. The methodology used the descriptive account of experiences, describing each step of the deployment process. Thus, performing this work was enjoyable because highlights the importance of this form of care for the patient and for the training of nurses, contributing to the ongoing development of an area of attention promising growth opportunities for our profession.
