The integral development of young athletes depends on a proper training needs. The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of maturation time of training and sport, on flexibility, agility and strength. The sample consisted of 40 boys, aged 12 to 16 years, all active young people. It was found maturation for self-evaluation drawings Udry and Morris (1980). The tests were conducted, sit and reach, and throwing the medicine ball test battery PROESP-BR and the vertical jump and shuttle run battery proposed by Matsudo (1983). We used descriptive statistics and inferential analysis ANOVA One-way and tests post-hoc Scheffe (p <0.05). Individuals advanced maturation showed the best results in all variables, with significant results on the force. The training time did not show positive influence of more experienced individuals, and group 2 had a significantly better result on the group 3. In regard to the modalities, the basketball players were significantly higher on the other in agility, the strength of the upper young indoor soccer players had less significant results in relation to other individuals and just about volleyball athletes in the strength of lower limbs. Therefore, the maturation was shown to be an influential variable on all physical abilities evaluated and may still have been a major factor in practice time has not shown significant results, since the methods, significant results can be derived from its peculiarities, some working capacity than others.##submission.downloads##
