Avaliação da atividade física e competência motora de pré-escolares: considerações práticas e implicações para a saúde

Introdução: a prática regular de atividade física durante a infância e a adolescência pode favorecer o desenvolvimento motor, colaborando com a prevenção de doenças crônico-degenerativas e com consequências positivas para a qualidade de vida. Objetivo: o presente estudo teve como objetivo principal verificar a validade, pontos positivos e limitações de diferentes ferramentas de avaliação da atividade física e competência motora em pré-escolares. Método: este estudo trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura. As bases eletrônicas utilizadas foram Scielo, LILACS, MEDLINE, PubMed, ERIC e SPORTDiscus sem restrição de período de publicação. Foram utilizados os descritores: atividade física, competência motora, crianças, pré-escolares e infância. Resultados e Discussão: as diretrizes mundiais de saúde recomendam para pré-escolares a prática de atividade física por 180 minutos em qualquer intensidade, o qual pelo menos 60 minutos sejam de atividade física moderada/vigorosa, ao longo do dia, entretanto, é necessário levar em consideração que muitas crianças falham em atingir essas recomendações. Avaliar pré-escolares é relevante do ponto de vista científico, e pode contribuir para a formulação de políticas públicas com o intuito de promover a atividade física, melhorar a competência motora nos anos pré-escolares e, consequentemente, contribuir parcialmente para a sustentação de um estilo de vida ativo na infância e adolescência. Considerações finais: as evidências encontradas apontam o acelerômetro como um ótimo método para avaliação de atividade física. Ademais, os testes motores MOT 4-6, MABC-2, TGMD-2 e BOTMP-2, apesar de amplamente validados, podem cercar melhor o fenômeno da competência motora se utilizados associadamente.Downloads
