The role of civil construction in relation to the development of a nation, both economically and socially, is notorious. Over time, it is inevitable that the market will become more demanding as the demand for higher quality services increases. In the current Brazilian civil construction scenario, it is still possible to see common project failures due to lack of quality and / or lack of interaction between the professionals involved, ie lack of project management, and a large percentage of these failures can only be resolved, in the execution phase, generating unnecessary rework, unusual expenses and increase in the delivery time of the works. This article was constituted through bibliographic research, whose objective is to present the benefits of a technology capable of facilitating the work, reducing failures, increasing productivity, obtaining quality management processes, as well as making the process safer, economical compatibility, it is efficient. The Building Information Modeling (BIM) platform, through specific software, provides building processes with the possibility of solving problems even in the design phase, execution phase, as well as throughout the building's life cycle. As a result, it was found that using the BIM platform for the project matching process is a way to avoid waste with unnecessary rework, as well as maintain the project schedule as previously planned.Downloads
