Abstract

The nitrogen meets enters the nutrients most important in the development and growth of vegetables. The objective of this work was to determine the levels of total nitrogen, ammonium and nitrate in five ground classrooms of the Sand city. The mineralization of the present N in the organic composition was studied in laboratory condition, proceeding from the incubation of different doses of organic composition. The organic material was incubated per 30 days in samples of 500g, in five ground. Classified as a sandy typical; Fragiudult typical; Entisol Latosol; Cambisol and Eutrophic Ta A moderate; Luvissol Órtico vertic; kept at field capacity. Changes in the mineral-N were related to different doses of compost added and the chemical properties of soil. The incorporation of compost increased the mineralization of nitrogen, being the predominant form of nitrate in all soils and presence of nitrite occurred in small concentrations.
