THE EXPLOITATION OF CHILD LABOR IN THE PRODUCTIVE CHAINS OF FAMILY AGRICULTURE AS A HINDERING FACTOR FOR THE EMANCIPATION OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS INTO ADULT LIFE
Abstract
The theme of this article seeks to contribute to the formulation and implementation of public policies against child labor in the productive sectors of family farming. The general objective is to investigate the consequences of the exploitation of child labor in family farming production chains on the emancipation of children and adolescents in adult life. The specific objectives consist of addressing international and Brazilian legal protection against the exploitation of child labor in family farming production chains and describing the economic, political and educational causes of the exploitation of child labor in family farming production chains. The research problem investigates the following question: what are the consequences of child labor in family farming production chains on the education of children and adolescents and its impact in relation to the possibilities of emancipation in adult life? The approach method used is the deductive method and the procedural method is monographic, with bibliographic and documentary research techniques. The hypothesis points out that the exploitation of child labor in family farming production chains reproduces the intergenerational cycle of poverty in families of children and adolescents in child labor situations, as when responsibilities are transferred from adults to children and adolescents, child labor harms the carrying out of educational activities and impacts the precariousness of work relations, a reflection of capitalist economic thinking.Downloads
