Abstract

This paperwork aims to analyze whether diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies and/or procedures, which are increasingly in the internal structure of companies, can be considered a tool that guarantees the right of people with disabilities to inclusion at work, having as a guide the International Labor Organization, the current national legislation, as well as interdisciplinary aspects that are included in the DEI practices in companies. The question that is sought to be answered is: does the diversity, equity and inclusion procedure support the promotion of an inclusive environment for people with disabilities in companies? From this questioning, the deductive approach method and the bibliographical research technique were used, concluding that policies and/or procedures, if applied correctly, are an instrument that allows access to an inclusive work environment and on equal opportunities with people without disabilities.
