The theoretical proposition of a Law and Public Policies approach, despite being built among teachers in the graduation level, should also consider institutions that deal with the challenges related to fulfilling the constitutional commitments signed to the State. Schools held by those institutions are the intuitive locus to bring that new approach to the already on-the-job professionals. This paper maps blockage points to a new institutional understanding based in the Law and Public Policies approach to be built among members of State Advocacy. That diagnosis will prove itself needed to base schools and research held by State Advocacy, oriented to the development of new and interdisciplinary skills. The paper in written according to an exploratory and descriptive methodology, and proposes that the State Advocacy schools should consider, in their future qualification efforts: 1) appreciation of interdisciplinarity; 2) offering a theoretical and practical framework related to Public Policies and 3) development of communication skills.
