A memória de trabalho e seu papel na aprendizagem, em especial, da leitura

Resumo

Resumo: A memória de trabalho desempenha um papel de apoio crucial na aprendizagem, principalmente em leitura e em matemática. De acordo com Allway et al (2009) crianças com baixos índices de memória de trabalho apresentam pouco progresso nessas áreas acadêmicas. Holmes, Gathercole e Dunnin (2009) investigaram estes problemas e afirmam que o desempenho acadêmico pode ser melhorado quando a memória de trabalho é melhorada. A melhoria da memória de trabalho é feita por meio de um programa de intervenção específica projetado para esse fim. O índice de memória de trabalho é medido e em seguida é feito uma intervenção específica e no final dessa intervenção uma nova medição é realizada. Nosso objetivo neste artigo é realizar uma reflexão acerca da literatura que trata das questões acima apresentadas.
