This study aims to characterize and identify the main technological advances in mechanized systems for weed control. The development of precision farming techniques such as automation of targeting systems, variable rate and telemetry provide increased efficiency in the use of data for decision making in the regulation of machinery for the application of pesticides. It is essential to use low cost and high efficiency methods, which minimize the use of chemicals that can be harmful to the environment. The studies raised in this research demonstrate that most of the developed and efficient technologies are only for chemical applications. In specific situations, it is possible to use electrical methods, fire and robotic systems, which still need improvement and studies.Downloads
