ROOTS OF DOMESTIC CHILD LABOR: GENDER, RACE AND CLASS PERSPECTIVES
Abstract
The theme of this scientific article is about domestic child labor and its historical roots, under the perspective of gender, race and social class. The work aims to study the origins and peculiarities of domestic child labor, as well as its current statistics in the national landscape, in order to conclude about the influence of gender, race and social class as conditioning factors in the situation of domestic child labor. With the development of the research, utilizing the historical basis of child labor construction to reach the aspects of current domestic child labor, it is possible to verify a perspective where the disparity between genders, social inequality, and racism that permeate domestic child labor are highlighted in the problematic. The methodology used was deductive, in qualitative and theoretical research. For this purpose, the bibliographic research technique was employed, through the use of theses, dissertations, scientific articles, and books.Downloads
