Contents: It is characterized as an Integrative Review (IR) of the literature developed from the terms “Sistematização da assistência de enfermagem - Nursing Assistance Systematization” or “SAE” and “Informática – Computing” or “Informatização – Computerization” or “Tecnologias de Informática – Computing Technologies” and “Assistência hospitalar – Hospital Assistance” or “Instituição hospitalar – Hospital Institution”. The article search was performed in October 2015 at the Virtual Health Library. The main results show that SAE is constituted as a challenge from early teaching all the way to its implementation by professionals through computerized systems. Conclusion: The implementation of SAE by means of computing technologies is growing as well as necessary in hospital institutions. Despite the existence of some weak points, it was found that the use of technologies in this process assures effective management of the assistance provided to clients in hospital institutions.Downloads
