This article examines the concept of conscious activity of human being as a topic of discussion on the philosophical foundations of cultural-historical psychology. Thus, three categories of analysis are proposed: conscious activity and social-historical needs; conscious activity and cultural mediation; conscious activity and appropriation of mankind´s experience. It is concluded that conscious is an attribute of human psychism engendered in social activity.Downloads
