Some aspects on the protection and freedom of children and adolescents on the use of internet

This article debates on the needs and limits of protection and freedom of children and adolescents concerning the use of the internet, highlighting some negative and positive aspectives of this use, considering also the respect for their rights. The text is divided into two parts: first, it aims to to brings some reflections on some conceptions of childhood and it highlights the child as active and participating in their social context. Second, it brings a reflection on the technique and the contradictory way that it is located in this society and it is imbricated in the human formation from early years, turning this a question for education, as it can also mean an element that presents obstacles. At the end it is possible to clearer consider the limits between protection and freedom of children and adolecents’ use of internet and the importance of the educator in developing the debate about these elements in the school.Downloads
