This text has as its main topic the Young and Adult Education (EJA) in Freedom Privation situation. In this article we engage in a reflection about the experience of education of young people and adults (literacy) that come from three Brazilian prison institutions. The convicted find themselves inserted in the Semi-Open Conditions of prison penalty. Three dialogues between the convicted and teachers were selected. It was noticed that a prejudiced point of view still persists coming from the teachers about these learners; this vision extends the relevance and the need of this type of education, as well as to recognize the formation of teachers as a critical strategy, self-criticism and resignification of prejudices.Downloads
