The present paper aims to explore the emancipatory and egalitarian features of the popular school of Simón Rodríguez. To achieve our goal we will divide our work into two parts. In the first of them we will make a historical presentation of the popular school of Rodriguez. In the second part of the paper, we will try to show how this school can be considered as an emancipatory proposal, as opposed to the method of mutual education widely spread in our continent after the war of emancipation. For this we will re-read the concept of Marxian alienation and relate it to the school of Chuquisaca. Based on our reading, we think that it is possible to present the school that Rodríguez believes in Bolivia as an unprecedented, experience, the consequences of which can still be felt today.Downloads
