This article presents the concept of social representations in Moscovici coined by the twentieth century. The theory of SR is a theory about the social production of knowledge. Moscovici supports the idea that nature and society are not two opposite pairs, should not be thought of as an opposition. Starting from the assumption that the basis of the environmental issue is the relationship between man and nature, human society and nature, it is assumed that the study of social representations of the environment presents itself as a fertile field for knowledge acquisition, interpretation and reflection of different views, values, interests, positions and practices that circulate among social groups about this object.Downloads
