The school order we have learned to defend in school spaces and time seems to be crumbling. In this regard, we ask: what meanings do young people give to school? The aim of this article is to articulate some theoretical-methodological reflections concerning the field of Cultural Studies with two investigations that proposed to change the ways of doing research. In these studies, the school is described by young high school students. The studies were valuable to think about school practices and consider that the conflicts and negotiations that exist between the subjects that inhabit the school produce another meanings for the contemporary school.Downloads
