This text is an invitation to understand the school institution from the denaturalization of its universality and eternity. The central objective is to problematize the concepts of indiscipline, conflict and violence in the daily life of schoolchildren. In this sense, the text invites to a problematizing look about the intersubjective relationships that are built in the school and warns the importance of understanding the conflict as pedagogically positive for the construction of a democratic school climate. The text is based on a qualitative research carried out with high school students, teachers and managers of a public school in São Gonçalo, (RJ).
