This article aims to discuss teaching practices of teachers and high school teachers who teach the discipline Sociology. The exercise of the teaching profession here is a focused objective overview of the return of that discipline to the school curriculum of high school during the year 2009 and 2010, during which time it returns to compulsorily in schools of São Paulo. Teachers here are considered graduates in Social Sciences. It seeks to present the relationship between teaching practices and the discontinuity of discipline in the curriculum of São Paulo.
