MENTORING: AN SELF-REGULATED EDUCACIONAL PRACTICE APPLIED IN HIGHER EDUCATION

This article proposes a reflection about mentoring, alternative education used in higher education, which aims to enhance learning to being in partnership between academics. This teaching strategy has sought to stimulate the academic planning and development. We carried out a literature review about mentoring in order to understand the activity origin and importance for the process of university teaching and learning, and then an empirical research investigating the work done by the Mentoring Education Program - MET, at the Federal University of Pelotas Education School, with aimed to investigate how the mentoring practice is done, since this intends to complement the initial and continuing training.Downloads
