Abstract

The aim of this study was to classify models of undergraduate distance, authorized and operating in federal public universities. For this, we analyzed sites of 15 Brazilian universities aiming to collect data about the model of the course of the operation of polo, teachers and tutors, course material and assessment of learning. Although the information on the websites of the institutions are still restricted, we conclude that the model of the courses, in general, is based on blended learning; poles are important spaces for the operation of courses, are not very clear, the websites, the functions of teachers while there are more details about the tasks of the tutors, and the proposed assessment of learning is more formative than qualifying. Thus, we believe that research on distance mode should focus on their specific, relating, of course, with the Brazilian reality and context.
