Abstract

The objective, in this space of saying, is to analyze the press discourse on statements by the subject who occupied the Presidency of the Republic between 2019 and 2022, with the aim to answering the question: how did the press report these statements and what effects of meaning were produced? The French Discourse Analysis is mobilized as a methodological basis to work with the verba dicendi of journalistic articles, apprehending changes over the course of four years, as attacks on the press intensified.
