We start from the 31st of March of the first year of government of the ex-president of Brazil to deal with the divergences around the “commemoration” of this date. Faced with the controversy surrounding this specific case, which became a legal dispute, we aim to investigate how the history of the Dictatorship is permanently in dispute, the role of the mainstream media in this process and whether these meanings are part of a capitalist-neoliberal society Project, that serves dominant political and economic interests.
