This article uses literary studies of intermediality to analyze the way in which literature appropriates specific forms of meaning production brought about by different media. We will follow a conceptual path that presents the main contributions of intermedial studies in the field of literary theory in order to carry out an analysis of Jorge Carrión's novel "Los Muertos" (2010), as a work focused precisely on the intermedial translations of different media into the literary text.
