Education of the Senses: media culture and (in) formation

In modern societies, in which the media directly interfere in the formation / deformation of the people, whether children or young adults, there is no denying the importance of integrated research between these two fields of study for more effective results in pedagogical practices in schools. Reflecting on the process of information production is part of an education plural and the plural does not presuppose an education just to teach multiple ways of thinking about teaching realidade. O should cover all disciplines, including the media, especially if one takes into account the fact that the mass media, present continuously in the dayto- day society are holders of power and domination. This article is the result of Project Education of the Senses: readings of the media, funded by the University Without Borders. The project encouraged participants in critical reflection about the media - understood here as all the media. Through workshops, discussions and production of student curiosity was aroused by other types of information and the desire to build, in addition there are different thoughts on the political and social reality of the country and the world and the promotion in its participants, the desire for transformation and autonomous formation of opinion.Downloads
