It is known that language is a powerful tool of manipulation, since by means of discourse man tries to persuade his interlocutor, making him share opinions. Actually, by using language, there are always aims to be reached. However, in order to make sense and make our interlocutor come to a conclusion, our words should have argumentative features. Based on Argumentative Semantics perspective, this study aims at analysing the functioning of the linguistic clues, in special, the argumentative operators, utilized in three advertisements conveyed by the Brazilian female magazine Claudia, by means of verifying its given sense.Downloads
