A brief reflection upon the prefaces of Tutameia, one of the few moments in which Guimarães Rosa talks about his ars poetica. A discussion of some of the main aspects of his aesthetic conception, such as the opposition between “estória” and “história” and the notion of inner coherence in the work of art, the creation and use of neologisms, the relationship between the work and the world of its author, and the problems of aesthetic creation.Downloads
