This paper discusses the application of measures of specialization and concentration to the identification of industrial clusters and makes considerations concerning the applicability of these tools in the various Brazilians regional structures. Thus, the aim of this work was to verify the applicability of indices of specialization and concentration to identify industrial clusters in regions of lower economic expression than those studied in reference texts. Therefore, we applied on RAIS data, relating to employment and industrial establishments state of Goiás municipalities, the Locational Quotient and the Locational Gini, seeking to identify not only the already established industrial clusters, as well as, industry clusters potential. Among the 24 industries analyzed only 5 presented industrial clusters in the state of Goiás, distributed among these five sectors were present 8 industrial clusters, of which 5 were classified as clusters potential, and only three such agglomerations as industrial clusters already consolidated.Downloads
