Abstract

The objective of this paper is to assess the dynamics of an intelligent transportation system (ITS) in the public sphere in Goiania (GO), Midwest region of Brazil, from the point of view of players related to the service – government, transportation companies and the citizen (user). Based on the literature of services quality and innovation, interviews with specialists and a survey were conducted. The results pointed to divergence in opinions. For the user, the new system did not overcome most of the deficiencies of the public transportation, although government and transit companies view the matter in an optimistic way.
