Abstract

This study aimed to analyze how is the process of cooperation between groups affected by large infrastructure projects in a scenario marked by environmental conflicts in this case referenced by the installation of the pipeline Ferrous in micro-Viçosa-MG, located in the Zona da Mata of Minas Gerais. Methodologically we used document analysis, interviews and semi-structured follow-up to meetings of the affected communities and the Campaign Against Through Water and Pipeline Ferrous, at public hearings and protests by actors opposed to the project. The tools of organization groups achieved the meetings were used, the formation of the Campaign Against Water and Pipeline of Ferrous and the process of constitution of the Association of those Affected by Pipeline Ferrous. Therefore, these social actors cooperation as a tool used to organize them because the common goal is firstly that the pipeline is not built. But how difficult this is to happen, those affected want some impacts are eliminated, among them: the amount of damages to be reassessed and consequently increase the value, and that the pipeline does not pass in the springs, changing its path.
