Abstract

This study presents the trends of the economic thougth of the entrepreneur class from Toledo (PR). The research is based on the information taken from a sample of the entrepreneurs’ opinion of ACIT (Trade and Enterprise Association of Toledo), about Brazilian economy subjects, and that portrays the profile of these “decision takers” in the city. This approach is based on the Bielschowsky’s model (2000). As a result, the study shows that the economic discourse of the entrepreneurs is not implying a commitment in relation to a univocal economic thought. Therefore, the matrix of the thought of the entrepreneurs from Toledo, with a strong nationalist characterization, converges to a developmental model via pro-market reforms and monetary stability.
