Abstract

The union of the subjects Situated Learning and Organizational Culture starts to happen in the organizational scope, mainly in studies that identify that the communities of practical create organizational subcultures. In this direction, this work had for objective to verify if the community of practical generates influence in the perception of the organizational culture in a Federal University. For in such a way, a quantitative research with 361 pupils of two different centers of education of the Federal University of Santa Maria was developed (Center of Agricultural Sciences and Center of Social Sciences and Human), using the model of Hofstede, et al. (1990). Results demonstrate that the variable that had more influenced in the differences of perceptions concerning the culture of the organization had been exactly those that they identified the community of practical, or either, the center of education and the course of graduation. Of this form, this study concludes that the estimated ones of the situated learning had influenced the perception of the culture in the studied organization.
