Abstract

This paper results from a qualitative survey carried out with hybrid organizations in the Serra Gaúcha region, partly located in the area attended by the University of Caxias do Sul (UCS). The objective is to discuss the main conclusions related to changes occurred with participant firms in an organizational network. Four networks from the manufacturing sector, two networks from the commercial sector, and two from the service sector were investigated. From the findings of this project, the mutual credibility among networked companies is a must for the sustainability and development of the network. The study shows that most of the companies can identify benefits from their participation, such as learning, cooperation, leadership management development, bargain power in negotiation, experience sharing, logistics improvement, and paradigms changing.
