Abstract

Rural web is an ensemble of resources, actors, actions, transactions and arrangements that are interlaced, defining the nature of rural activity in a specific place. This paper aims to map the family livestock rural web in Centre South region of Rio Grande do Sul through examining local reality of experience that is happening in São Jerônimo, Butiá and its regional unfolding. The methodology employed documentary surveys, participant observation; and semi-structured interviews to key informants. It was evident that the rural web was taking shape as it was rescuing aspects related to its appearance and evolution until its current characteristics, whose composition covers social actors, transactions, arrangements and physical, cultural, historical, technical, environmental, social and economic resources. In this process, it was highlighted one of rural web essential features, which is the intertwining among distinct elements, placed and targeted, prioritizing, to benefit a specific and vulnerable social segment, the family livestock.
