Abstract

This paper presents a study of the policy of sustainable development of the State of Amazon formulated from the Governmental Program Green Zona Franca (ZFV). This program is justified by the increasing demand of the interior for development alternatives. In this model of development there are problems of the most diverse spheres in the social, educational, cultural and economic areas. The methodology made use of bibliographical sources and government reports, crossing them with theoretical base. The study used the hypothesis that economic growth with support took place given from the space distribution of the productive and industrial centers on. Graphics and tables present the results, proving that the development is occurring in higher proportion in the cities next to Manaus, central place from which analyzes depart.
