Abstract

One of the main functions of governance is to generate contributions to organizations that make up a network. In this regard, an exploratory research was carried out with a single case study in a network of institutions that had as main objective to structure a chain of production and use of biofuel in the state of Sergipe, entitled "Biofuel Network Sergipe." The objective of the analysis was to verify how the governance of the network may have different contributions to federal management in public organizations. The results showed that governance was efficient in generating business for a bank that won in attracting customers and developing new lines of financing. For a university, governance contributed to the generation of research groups, researchers and attracting new generation of studies and research. As for a rural research institution, contributions were also associated with the development of research. Finally, for a power production company, the contributions were associated with the generation of new businesses and activities in a new environment.
