Abstract

The study examines the integration of family farming in Canguçu in the incentive program called Forest Savings by Votorantim Cellulose and Paper Mill (VCP). The information that supports to this article is part of a broader research, conducted by the Program of Graduate Studies in Agro ecosystems of the Federal 50 University of Santa Catarina. In spite of the recognized importance of family farming in the county of Canguçu and the fact that this public is identified as preferential by Forest Savings, the immersion in the empirical universe evidenced Participation of family farmers of Canguçu in the Forest Savings program by Votorantim Cellulose and Paper Millthat, so far, those farmers had little participation in the program.
