The article comes from a bibliographic research that proposes to resume Paulo Freire's contribution to a methodology of education and participatory research aiming to indicate elements for a critical pedagogy, based on the rereading of Pedagogy of the Oppressed and Education as a Practice of Freedom. Despite the historical distance, it is concluded that the search for critical alternative pedagogies finds, in these works, subsidies capable of enhancing the (re)creation of methodologies of popular education and participatory research in Latin America.Downloads
