The article addresses the proposed transformations for High schools, triggered by Law 13,415 / 17. The study prioritizes the investigation of initial movements in the state of Rio Grande do Sul with the aim of putting this policy into action. We problematize this implementation proposal within patterns proposed by the government. The State imposed some criteria and chose “pilot schools”, with the intention that these will serve as a parameter for the rest of the schools when they implement the reform. The proposal initially indicated schools’ autonomy to organize their curriculum, but throughout the process the imposition of discussion methodologies and in a certain way of the expected “results” were given.
