Handmade “cachaça” production and science teaching in countryside education

By highlighting a traditional practice, the artisanal production of the cachaça, we sought to point its pedagogical possibilities from a dialogical perspective of Science, Technology and Society (CTS). In this sense, to enable problematized the reality of the local community, an appreciation of human and cultural social practices and human emancipation contributed to the development of teaching in this sense of critical and reflective science. In addition, our results do not give importance to the artisanal production of cachaça by a small producer and reinforce its commitment to Countryside Education. This education that its premises are based on the valorization of the peasants' ways of life.
