Abstract

This text addresses teacher training in times of metamorphosis, interweaving reflection with the influence that the International Monetary Fund – IMF and World Bank – WB exert on the training processes adopted by the Mozambican State throughout its formation as an independent nation. This is a piece of writing that presents a reflection on teacher training and allows us to understand in complexity the process of teacher training in times of change and the actions of these multilateral organizations. As a methodology, we use a bibliographical review with historical-temporal 1975-2022, sufficient to place at the center the appreciation of knowledge epistemologically recognized in the global South, which embodies the plurality of knowledge and values the experiences of the subjects.
