This article argues in favor of language and interaction as paramount dimensions of the teaching work, as they are important in the construction and reconstruction of meanings, especially with regard to the teaching activity. The objective is to reflect upon the importance and presentification of the dimensions of language and interaction in the teaching work based on excerpts of interviews with University Professors and Basic Education Teachers from two Master’s Degree investigations in Education carried out in 2019 and 2020, based on Sociodiscursive Interactionism. Teachers understand interaction as central to their work, since it is the locus of the constitution of language and the subject.
