This research focuses on the intersection between curriculum and special education in the context of inclusive education. The study aims to understand the indications of theses and dissertations made available on the CAPES theses and dissertations portal in the period between 2008-2022, concerning the selection of knowledge in the schooling process of students with ASD in elementary education. The results indicate that the selection of expertise is marked by curricular simplification, functional curriculum, and school content restricted to elementary content, emphasizing the Portuguese language and Mathematics.
