In the school environment, expectations are established for both teachers and learners. In this context, we focus on the teacher as the subject of study, through the memories and perceptions of students who chose to pursue a teaching career. Our aim was to understand what made a teacher unforgettable for students in the Pedagogy program. To develop this work, we employed the phenomenological method and grounded our research in Cultural History. The data were analyzed through content analysis, involving 104 participants. The findings indicate the presence of a demanding teacher.
