Pedagogical letters in the citizen school: memory and perspectives

Abstract

The article makes content out of form by presenting a Pedagogical Meta-letter that shares the memory of the first writings named Pedagogical Letters in the author's experience. Intended for fellow primary education teachers, it aims to encourage dialog about the theoretical-methodological potential of a model of writing that reinvents itself, inspired by Paulo Freire's legacy. For this purpose, it presents a personal piece of writing produced in the context of the Escola Cidadã (Citizen School) Project implementation in the Municipal Network of Porto Alegre/RS, on April 8th, 2001.  Revisited after more than two decades, the writings reveal that the documentation of the teaching experience through the writing of Pedagogical Letters unveils (auto)biographical marks and preserves different temporalities of (auto)knowledge in the making.

Author Biography

Ana Lucia Souza de Freitas, Universidade Federal do Pampa - UNIPAMPA - Campus Jaguarão

Mestre (1999) e doutora em educação (2005) pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul. Estudos de Pós-doutorado em Pedagogia Crítica na Liverpool Hope University (2015). 

Gaúcha, pedagoga, residente na França. Foi professora da Rede municipal de ensino de Porto Alegre, docente e pesquisadora em universidades do Rio Grande do Sul. Mestre e doutora com estudos sobre a política pública de formação de professores na Escola Cidadã. Estudiosa de Paulo Freire, é co-fundadora do Coletivo Leitoras de Paulo Freire na França e atualmente é vice-presidente da Association Collectif Lectrices de Paulo Freire en France e professora permanente no Programa de Pós-graduação em educação na Universidade Federal do Pampa (Unipampa), Campus Jaguarão/RS. Além da organização de livros em coautoria, e publicação de capítulos de livro, é autora de Pedagogia da Conscientização: um legado à formação de professores (2001); Leituras de Paulo Freire: Uma trilogia de referência (2014; 2020) e Andarilhagens de uma educadora pesquisadora: Cartas Pedagógicas e outros registros de participação no Fórum de Estudos Leituras de Paulo Freire (2020; 2023; 2024).
