Throughout the history of writing an innovation in textuality occurred, which embraces, today, multiple languages and media. In face of the diversity of discursive productions materialized, be them on print or virtual, we intend to evaluate the behavior of the reader that emerges in a context marked by hypermodernity, as concepted by Lipovetsky (2005), and by liquid relations, according to Bauman's (2009) definition. Besides that, taking into account the possibilities of internet access by readers, we aim to question current conditions for reading promotion, as well as to problematize the capacity of new supports to generate positive impacts for the promotion of the act of reading. From bibliographical research, we noticed that the modern reader is more participatory, recreating read texts and weaving comments on them. But, with the excess of information available on the web, one can have difficulty to select readings and deepen them. We noted, also, based on the analysis of researches of different institutes, that the democratization of books and reading by new technologies is yet to be made effective.Downloads
