Abstract

This study deals with carnival conception by the Russian philosopher Mikhail Bakhtin (2008, 2009) from the philosophical hermeneutic approach of the game proposed by philosophers Huizinga (2000) and Rohden (2002). From this perspective, interpreted the points that guide the subject who lived the medieval carnival (nature of interpersonal relationships, time and space) under the precepts of the theme of the game. The method that organizes this study is based in the empirical form and in the literature bibliographic, combined with a dialetic moviment of teorical organization, whose function is to build knowledge and the best way to present them, minimizing the possibility of losing the essence and complexity of each content. In front of the theories, it was understood that the carnival, syncretic phenomenon in essence, have some of the caracteristics by the philosophical hermeneutic perspective of the game, and would enjoy even more if the atmosphere that puts its participants in a special and unusual moment of existence in which life itself is capable of representing itself, while the game is up another way, it is not real life and is not imagine life.
