Impressions about the time in the house of the tragic poet, by Carlos Heitor Cony

Abstract

This article proposes to present some impressions about the time describes in the narrative The house of the tragic poet, by Carlos Heitor Cony, published in 1998. There are many ways to perceive the time demonstrated by characters of this narrative: a psychological time, a lived time, an expected time, a dissipated time, a counted time, a physical time and a chronological time. All of these ways are express through linguistics’ times wich have mark the present, the past and the future, in come and go of characters through theirs individual and conjoined trajectories of life. From the description of these experiences forward we are proposing to show some possibilities of sense to the text.
