O retorno da narrativa: a busca do significado

Up to the first half of last century the systematic study of narratives was restricted to literary theory. From that time on narratives came to be the privileged subject of sectors that were resistant to narrative analysis so far (as history, anthropology, sociology). The article tracks down the conceptual reasons why narratives have returned to the center of attention in social and cognitive sciences. It defends the thesis that the return of narratives to academic scenery derives from a paradigmatic turn in social and cognitive sciences towards language and cultural interpretation, process of institution and constitution of the social world.Downloads
